Overview: STAT API

The STAT API service allows for programmatic access to your project data via a series of simple HTTP requests. Access to the STAT API is secured via a unique API key. Basic API services include the following bulk job types:

  • Ranks (JobType = ‘ranks’)
  • Ranking distributions for tags (JobType = ‘tag_ranking_distributions’)
  • Ranking distributions for sites (JobType = ‘site_ranking_distributions’)

Our optional specialty API paid services include:

  • Bulk HTML SERP API (Google only)
This returns a daily archive of raw HTML of Google SERPs for all keywords in the site. This allows for more in-depth analysis of raw SERPs.
  • Bulk Parsed SERP API
This generates a daily archive of complete, fully parsed SERPs for all the keywords in the site in either XML or JSON format. This is useful for comprehensive data-mining across your entire competitive space.
  • Bulk Adwords API
This generates a daily archive of Adwords ads for all the keywords in the site in either XML or JSON format. This gives you direct, large-scale insight to who is bidding on Adwords ads in your keyword space, and allows you to see the full text of those Adwords ads.

These specialty, auto-generated archives are invoiced in addition to your regular billing costs. You can turn them on for individual sites in Site Tools > Settings, and daily archives will be generated beginning the following day. Optional API services that are activated for part of a month are prorated so that you only pay for the days used.
